JOB DETAILS:
The University of Dar es Salaam invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for immediate employment to fill the following academic vacant posts:

DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY

1.31 Tutorial Assistant (History) – 1 post

1.31.1 Duties and Responsibilities
i. To under-study senior members of academic staff by attending their lectures seminars, tutorials and practicals;
ii. To carry out seminars, tutorials and practicals;
iii. To assist in research, consultancy and public services;
iv. To undergo postgraduate training for the Master’s degree; and
v. To perform any other relevant duties as assigned by one’s superior.

1.31.2 Qualification and Experience
Bachelor of Arts in History or Education (Majoring in History) or History Cultural Management and Tourism or Diplomatic and Military History or History and Political science and Bachelor of Education (Majoring in History).
1.31.3 Remuneration
Salary Scale: PUTS 1.1

f. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
g. Presentation of forged certificates & other false information will result in automatic disqualification and legal action.
h. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.
i. Applicants must be citizens of Tanzania with an age not above 45 years Applicants for posts in IMS should be ready to permanently reside in Zanzibar
